I teach the Technique in a series of individual lessons, each lasting 40 minutes. During that time I use my hands very gently on your head, neck, back and limbs to enable you to recognise and release any unnecessary tensions and to redirect your energy.

Alongside explanation of the principles and how they work, this gentle hands-on guidance helps you apply the Technique to activities such as standing, sitting and walking. As you learn, you then begin to introduce the principles into other activities.

The difference between the Alexander Technique and other therapies is that you are an active participant. My goal is not just to help you alleviate your current problems, but to equip you with the means for preventing their recurrence. This is why your sessions with me are 'lessons' and you are a 'pupil'. The Alexander technique is a skill you gradually learn for yourself.

Immediately following a lesson, you will probably feel lighter and more agile, but in a calmer mood. People often appreciate longer-term benefits after just a few lessons. For a lasting skill in applying the Technique for yourself, you would need a longer course, but you do not have to commit yourself to any particular number of lessons.
Start with an introductory lesson and see how it goes.

The cost is £32 for a single lesson or £160 if you book a block of six.
It's best to wear loose comfortable clothes. You'll be asked to remove only your shoes.
